Society places a special value on young people, and as a Child and Adolescent Counsellor you will have a pivotal role to play in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in your own community. In this course, you will learn a variety of counselling methods and techniques suitable to the early childhood, pre-adolescent, and adolescent stages. You will also learn about educational psychology, methods of dealing with destructive behaviour and grief among young people, and family counselling strategies. You will also be introduced to the fundamentals of establishing a counselling practice.
When you successfully complete this course, you will be equipped with the unique set of skills and knowledge necessary to become a highly effective Child and Adolescent Counsellor.
