Dysfunctional Family Counselling
No family consciously makes a decision to become dysfunctional and to do harm to its members, but it happens depressingly often. Through its maladaptive behaviours, the dysfunctional family develops a set of restrictions that inhibit the social and emotional growth of its members, particularly the children. You can break down these restrictions and allow family members to grow independently and together, by counselling them with skills you will learn in this course.
Where marriage is concerned, there are often unrecognised forces at work, and frequently there is an irresistible and harmful attraction to a past, negative memory. You will be trained to guide your clients through the rough patches, and lead them to a family environment of love, tolerance, fun, and structure.
