Hypnosis for Self Acceptance
Background Information on this Program
I made this hypnosis session after a very enlightening conversation with one of my clients (thanks Jeff). What he spoke of with his own personal journey was very much consistent with what many other people have troubles with also - that being self-acceptance. Acceptance is a word thrown about quite a lot, but I really wonder how many people truly accept themselves and all their unique abilities, value, contributions and most importantly - their past? So much that happens in the 'present' is dependent on how we view the past. It is necessary to accept the past and everything that has happened in a positive light of understanding and knowledge - not in a negative context of 'regret'. This will ultimately affect how you view yourself in the present and greatly influence everything you do.
Acceptance is the First Step for Any Personal Development!
For any personal development it is necessary to accept that change is required i.e. 'I can improve'. In doing this it is also important to establish perspective - 'I am a great person already but I can be greater' - or 'I hate who I am and basically have to change'. Either way there is a level of acceptance here. Be careful of the latter because change fueled by self-loathing can be very tricky. Essentially this is what this hypnosis program is about - learning to accept the truth. Establishing an acceptance of all the good things about you and acceptance of all the things you need to change. Most importantly, doing this in a way that is positive and conducive to moving forward in your life and not being held back.
Some Important Concepts I Cover in this Session...
- Identifying all the things that you could improve on and viewing these in a positive way to fuel development
- Identifying all the things that make you unique and valuable & using these to provide sustenance when you begin to question yourself
- Embracing & accepting all the good things that come your way by removing any feelings of not deserving
- Changing the perspective for aspects your past from a hindrance/regret to understanding/knowledge
- Ultimately changing your outlook on yourself to always be positive, optimistic & driven to move forward
About the Hypnosis Session
For this session I use a creative visualization induction. I start with some simple breathing exercises, responsive techniques, and progress into a metaphorical process involving travelling down stairs and going deeper letting go. From here I take you through some more metaphors to help begin the process of identifiction within. As the session evolves I use direct suggestion and metaphor to help put in place new ways of using what you identify and viewing/accepting it in a positive way. Right at the end I do a 'wake up' giving you the option to remain asleep if you wish or to wake up.
Moving in the Right Direction
I feel that for many people by addressing these processes and learning to truly accept yourself, that you will got a lot out of this program. In many of my personal 'one on one' sessions I always put in place these mechanisms to lay a foundation for my client regardless of what issue they are seeking help for. Perspective is such a strong force for any person and acceptance is the absolute basis of perspective. It is how you view and accept yourself that will ultimately determine your perspective which will ultimately determine the path you travel in life be it positive or negative.
